Der Queen DVD Produzent Rhys Thomas gibt bekannt, dass er derzeit eine neue Dokumentation über Freddie Mercury für das TV produziert und Regie führt. Der Film wird eine Art Sequel von "Days Of Our Lives" und fokusiert Freddie Mercury´s Solo Karriere und seine Arbeit ausserhalb von Queen.

Passend zu dem Titel "Jazz" des Albums von Queen haben die Berlinerin Louise Gold zusammen mit dem The Quarz Orchestra eine Jazzvariante von Don´t Stop Me Now eingespielt.
“It is with very heavy hearts and much regret that we announce the cancellation of Sonisphere Knebworth 2012.
Putting the festival together in what is proving to be a very challenging year was more difficult than we anticipated, and we have spent the last few months fighting hard to keep Sonisphere in the calendar.
Unfortunately circumstances have dictated that we would be unable to run the festival to a standard that both the artists and that Sonisphere’s audience would rightly expect.
We want to express our deepest regrets to the artists and to thank all the staff, suppliers and contractors who worked so hard with us to try and pull off what has proven to be an impossible task and we know how much they share in our disappointment. We also want to send a huge thanks to the Sonisphere fans who stuck by us and we are so sorry that we can’t fulfil what we set out to do.

"We are disappointed to hear of the cancellation of the Sonisphere Festivals as we were very much looking forward to performing with Adam Lambert and particularly as the venue was Knebworth, our last stand with Freddie. We apologise for the disappointment to all those who were looking forward to seeing us. We are working to see if we can redress the situation at some other venue."
Das Coverband-Projekt "The Queen Extravaganza" welches von Roger Taylor produziert wird hat seine ersten Kanada und USA Termine veröffentlicht. Alle bekannten Termine und weitere Infos gibt es bei den Coverbands unter The Queen Extravaganza.
Am 27.03.2012 fand die exklusive Launch Party von "Pride Of Cape Town" im "Grand Cafe & Beach" in Granger Bay in Kapstadt / Südafrika statt. Brian May und Kerry Ellis performten "I Love The Butterfly", "Born Free" in einer neuen Version und "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" vor 250 geladenen Gäste. Bei dem Event wurde eine Auswahl von 50 lebensgrossen Fiberglas-Skulpturen von Löwen präsentiert, welche in den nächsten Monaten als "Pride Of Cape Town" in Kapstadt ausgestellt werden. "Pride Of Cape Town" ist eine Aktion der "Born Free Foundation", der Kampagne zum Schutz der Löwen in Südafrika. Im Mai 2013 werden die Skulpturen zugunsten von "Born Free" auktioniert.
Brian May, Kerry Ellis und Virginia McKenna von der "Born Free Foundation" präsentierten in Kapstadt das Projekt "The People´s Lion", bei dem jedermann auf der ganzen Welt die Gelegenheit hat, mit einer Spende am "Pride Of Cape Town" teilzunehmen und damit zum Schutz der Löwen in Südafrika beizutragen. "The People´s Lion" - eine ganz besondere Skulptur eines Löwen aus Namen, Nachrichten und Fotos - wird als Symbol für die Unterstützung, die Löwen in der Wildnis zu schützen, geschaffen.
