QUEEN ROCK MAGIC EXHIBITION AT KNEBWORTH

An exhibition of memorabilia of the legendary rock band Queen will be on display in the Banqueting Hall at Knebworth, Stevenage,  from 4th to 31st August.

The exhibition will focus on the band’s 1986 “Magic” tour which played the UK and nine European countries throughout the summer before ending at Knebworth Park on August 9 where Queen played to a record crowd of 125,000 people.

The 8th Freddie Mercury’s Montreux Memorial Day will take place from Friday evening September 3rd until Sunday afternoon 5th September.

Same format as last year. It will be FREE. Come over and enjoy a fantastic week-end. Peter Freestone will open the event under the market place. We have secured the presence of « The Barcelona Project » from Norway. Just imagine about 35 singers and musicians on stage performing a few meters away from Freddie’s statue or 'Dragon Attack' the Italian Queen coverband live next to Freddie’s statue with a unique show. Queen Alive are back for the second time and The Royal Squeeze Box from Germany will assurely blow your mind! To close the event, Lucie Halamikova with her keyboard will perform some less well known Queen songs by the statue where a few stalls will be installed and serve drinks and food to all fans. You will be able to take boat trips to the Lake House or 'Tea at the Palace' 'with Peter Freestone. Eine neue Tribute CD ist auf dem USA Markt, die sich durch verschiedene Interptreten auszeichnet. Von der Idee her dürfte sie am nächsten der "Dragon Attack" Veröffentlichung kommen, aber der Stil ist ein anderer.

HORSE FEATHERS AND ANIMAL CRACKERS: A TRIBUTE TO QUEEN
There are precious few bands that can inspire enough artists to fill a 2-disc tribute. Queen is one of those bands. From Deena Shoshkes’ (of The Cucumbers) countrified version of “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” to The Serpenteens hard rock take on “Calling All Girls”, Horse Feathers & Animal Crackers features the most diverse collection of musicians yet on a Main Man Records release. Richie Ranno (from Starz), Derwood Andrews (from Generation X), Dennis Dunaway (from the original Alice Cooper group) and Cheetah Chrome (from The Dead Boys) are just a few of the names you may recognize alongside Main Man’s own Frankenstein 3000, Bad Biscut, True Love, Shawn Mars and The Easy Outs.
